This is a hands-on beginner camp exploring how electricity is used to make our lives easier. Experiment with different AC and DC circuits found around your home with a focus on devices that use electrical energy as well as how to measure these values. You will gain an understanding of switches, lights, power use, motors, and how to figure out how much power you are using at home. In our state-of-the-art lab, you’ll apply what you’ve learned about electricity and electronics with hands-on projects which you can take home to keep!

Although most of the activities will be a low DC voltage, campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors. Safety infractions may lead to removal from the camp. Eye protection will be provided.
